The state of the NFL and it's labor issues

As far as I’m concerned, “The Big Hurt” has my vote.. Due to the program’s success and support, that number has doubled from last year. In my 12-team, 5x5 roto league, which drafts 360 players, I'm scheduled to have the 11th pick.My strategy is to draft a big bopper and then pick a prime stolen base player that contributes some in the power categories (HR and RBI).The two guys on my radar are Jacoby Ellsbury and Carl Crawford. The flair he brings, along with the skill, ability, and more could earn him the MVP.Carmelo AnthonyI see Anthony having some fresh legs, and ready to play. One thing that can’t be replaced, however, was what my Grandpa meant to me. I love you, Grandpa.  Aug 21, 1941-Feb. But it will be the Colts who will taste failure next Sunday, in spite of Manning, who will ,without doubt, do everything in his power to try to win the game.

Doesn't look that big on the ice, but he's pretty strong on his skates Reminds me a lot of Mike Richards. One-time Red Sox ace Josh Beckett enters the 2010 season knowing that he does not have a deal in place for 2011. Are people questioning the greatness of Wayne Gretzky because he did not face black hockey players? Are Sidney Crosby and Alex Ovechkin not as great of players because black athletes do not play hockey? Would black athletes be able to lace up skates and dominate as much as these two players do?I think most would find it laughable that without years of training, black athletes would even be able to place on the medal stand. In addition to a solid lower body, Hopkins has long arms, which helps him engage defenders early at the point of attack. The major knock on Hopkins is that he is a bit undersized at 260 pounds. Seeing how Couture has put up some close fights with Vera, Nogueira, and Lesnar while Coleman in reality outwrestled Stephan Bonnar, which is isn't that hard, I gotta lean towards Couture.Although I think Couture lost his last fight against Vera here he's dealing with basically a crappy version of his future self.Coleman has a terrible gas tank and with all the wrestling and grappling that will happen here will destroy his cardio.Couture will eventually pin against the cage, get a takedown, and just pound him until the ref pulls him off.Couture via 3rd Round TKO      . Only time will tell what the final result will be."If the New England Patriots can hammer out a long-term contract deal in the ensuing months, it would run contrary to the team’s history when applying the tag.  As the Patriots are a notoriously tight-lipped organization, progress on that front will be hard to determine until a contract is officially signed. If that contract is not met and Wilfork is franchised, the Patriots may have earned themselves the ill will of a vital cog in the team’s defensive front.  It may not translate into a holdout, but it could severely hamper any bargaining efforts to strike a long-term deal afterward.Either way, it appears Wilfork isn’t going to see anything of the open market this offseason.. Of course, not all the years in the 2000's were blessed with great offensive lines.Exhibit A: The 2005 team rushed for just 464 yards and allowed 33 sacks.Exhibit B: The 2002 team ran for just 917 yards and allowed a whopping 38 sacks.

At 6-2, 217-pounds, he was a huge back in an era of 185 pound linemen. We'll resume our usual weekly schedule for Tribe Talk toward the end of Spring Training Go Tribe! 1. But, again, that is only a weekend. So, as I look around the web, I am finding some very interesting things that are troubling me.The state of the NFL and it's labor issues. If you?re not rooting for a DT starting combo of Bible and Cotton at Texas, then we are done here and you didn?t appreciate the Colt McCoy era at all. I never once saw them turn down an interview or a fan asking for an autograph. 3 Villanova last week on "Big Monday" that looked likeit might be the start of something good.

Why abandon the bread and butter (passing) and change your game plan to run the ball up the middle for small gains? Is this Rivers' call? No! I have seen him noticeably frustrated several times when such calls come in.When I look at the elite quarterbacks of the NFL, the top four are clearly above the rest: It's Peyton Manning, Philip Rivers, Drew Brees, and Tom Brady! Then there are the arguables: Brett Favre, Donovan McNabb, Matt Hasselbeck, Kurt Warner, Tony Romo, and Ben Roethlisberger. What separates them is consistency. There were reports of him wowing scouts and having what some called ?the greatest workout by a QB ever.? They were all right. ?Daddy? is coming off two victories since his unanimous decision loss to Diego Sanchez. Scenario 3: Big Ten adds Big 12 school, Big 12 adds a Mountian West schoolBig Ten: adds either Missouri, Texas or Nebraska (from Big 12)     Big 12: adds either BYU, Utah, TCU, or Colorado St. Mysterio also had money issues with the WWE as he felt he wasn't getting paid as much as the other Top Names was getting. Stephen Strasburg is expected to play a huge role in the future for the Nationals, but he probably won’t be able to pull the Nationals to the playoffs single handedly.
