The France, third market of the electric moped behind the Italy and the Germany, with 6,000 vehicles sold in 2009 (three times more), is moving up a gear.

Individuals: 30 of sales

Finished the 400 euros of Ademe (environment and energy control agency) for purchasers of an electric moped. This assistance accounted for up to 40 of the purchase price (of 1,600 to 4,000 euros). Some local governments however is are substituted in the State. This is the case of Paris, Chambéry, AIX, Mende, Villeneuve-lès-Avignon, and Poitou-Charentes region. Note that in Italy, first European market of the electric scooter, tradition requires, Government grants 850 euros to buyers. In France, this market is carried by the company fleets, namely for distribution companies fold or package such as TNT, La Poste or Lungta, courier Paris Green created in 2002. Almost nonexistent even five years ago, their market today departed with almost 24,000 VAE sold in 2009, against 2,500 in 2005. Including self-service, which relaunched all forms of cycling in cities. The VAE is 25 of the 3.2 million cycles sold in 2009.
Pending state premium

But the target is perfect, young dynamic professionals that support more to take their car to go to work and cannot bring themselves to take public transport. "They want much pedaling, but arrive in sweat in the Office", observes Didier Huré.
The VAE would develop further still if the promise of the Minister of industry, Christian Estrosi, of an award of State came to be realized With the rigour of the 2011 budget and the future cabinet reshuffle, the cycle professionals fear that this good idea is to trap. In the meantime, the cities that support the purchase of an electric scooter are hand portfolio to also help the VAE and, therefore, urban electric mobility.
